Khởi công khu công nghiệp VSIP II Quảng Ngãi quy mô gần 500 ha

Tham dự lễ động thổ KCN VSIP II Quảng Ngãi vào sáng 12/03, Phó Thủ tướng Thường trực Chính phủ Nguyễn Hòa Bình khẳng định, Chính phủ Việt Nam khẳng định sẽ tiếp tục giữ ổn định môi trường đầu tư, đẩy mạnh cải cách thủ tục hành chính, hoàn thiện hệ thống pháp luật,… để tạo môi trường đầu tư thông thoáng, lành mạnh cho các doanh nghiệp nước ngoài nói chung và doanh nghiệp Singapore nói riêng đầu tư, kinh doanh tại Việt Nam.
Với tổng diện tích 498 ha, KCN VSIP II Quảng Ngãi là dự án tiên phong sau khi Thủ tướng Chính phủ phê duyệt điều chỉnh tổng thể Quy hoạch chung xây dựng Khu kinh tế Dung Quất, tỉnh Quảng Ngãi đến năm 2045.
Dự án có vị trí trung tâm thuận lợi, nằm giữa Quốc lộ 1A và đường Hoàng Sa – Dốc Sỏi, thuận tiện liên kết các khu chức năng trong Khu kinh tế Dung Quất, dễ dàng kết nối với hệ thống cảng, sân bay, các dịch vụ tiện ích tại các khu vực lân cận.
Cách đây 12 năm, vào tháng 9/2013, dự án Khu liên hợp Công nghiệp, đô thị và dịch vụ VSIP Quảng Ngãi đã chính thức khởi công với mục tiêu đẩy mạnh xúc tiến thu hút đầu tư vào khu vực duyên hải miền Trung. Sự kiện đã đánh dấu một bước ngoặt quan trọng cho sự phát triển kinh tế – xã hội của tỉnh Quảng Ngãi.
Đến nay, dự án Khu công nghiệp VSIP Quảng Ngãi là điểm sáng thu hút vốn đầu tư nước ngoài vào địa phương, đã phát triển được khoảng 480 ha/582 ha với hạ tầng và các công trình công cộng được xây dựng đồng bộ. 44 dự án với tổng vốn đầu tư trực tiếp nước ngoài khoảng 1.3 tỷ USD đã được triển khai tại đây.
Tiếp nối thành công của dự án KCN, Đô thị và Dịch vụ VSIP Quảng Ngãi, VSIP đã khảo sát, nghiên cứu lập và trình hồ sơ đề nghị chấp thuận chủ trương đầu tư dự án Đầu tư xây dựng và kinh doanh kết cấu hạ tầng Khu công nghiệp VSIP II Quảng Ngãi và đã được Thủ tướng Chính phủ Quyết định chấp thuận chủ trương đầu tư tại Quyết định số 1664/QĐ-TTg ngày 22/12/2023.
Dự án đặt mục tiêu phát triển khu công nghiệp gắn với tăng trưởng xanh và phát triển bền vững, tiếp tục thu hút các nhà đầu tư trong các lĩnh vực ngành nghề áp dụng khoa học công nghệ, đổi mới sáng tạo và chuyển đổi số trong sản xuất kinh doanh.
